Ha! Gotcha. Not really. I just surpassed 10,000 words on 750words.com and earned the Novella Badge. Still, I’m stoked!
It makes me think writing a novella wouldn’t be that difficult for me … IF I had an idea … and IF I was excited about the idea. I mean, those 10 thousand words only took me 12 days. Damn.
Granted, none of the “pages” go together. And writing 750 stream-of-consciousness words takes roughly a half hour. I have no idea what a hard-earned 750 would take. But it does give me hope. Like maybe I could write a novella. And maybe it would take roughly a month.
Any ideas on what to write about?
You know me. It would have to be some kinda conservation romance. Like two people blowing up their life to save the rare Monarch butterfly. When is the last time you saw one? Idk if they are in CA but they are getting pretty damn rare here in IN. I remember seeing them regularly as a child.
Maybe the two met as children and one was ripping off the wings of what was then, a pretty common bug. That is where their conflict began.
Eh – you have to have a twin spin for a novella too…. Maybe this happened to a pair of twins at a… a cutest twin pagent. Double the bitter feelings… double the love and double crossing.
